Christmas from the Book of Isaiah

While Christmas is about Jesus, many Christians know little about him. We content ourselves with a knowledge of Jesus that is limited to the Gospels. Christ is not confined to such a small domain. He is found in every book of the Bible. In the Christmas from the Book of Isaiah, we search for Christ in the Old Testament book of Isaiah. Rather than focusing on the well-worn passages in Isaiah 7 and 9, this study digs into the later half of Isaiah that is known for its prophecy. In those untapped chapters we find four passages on Jesus where he is called the Servant of the Lord. These passages give us a window into Jesus’ life, mission, and emotions that are not studied at Christmas. They give us an exciting twist to the traditional Christmas story.
