No Résumé Required
July 14, 2019 Series: Stand Alone
Topic: Sunday Morning Teaching Passage: Matthew 20:1–16
Essentially, a résumé provides a brief description of who you are and tells an employer of your potential “worthiness” to a particular organization. Rarely will an employer blindly hire someone, let alone schedule an interview, without at least some type of check on experience and qualifications.
Not one of us is too good that we don’t need saved – not one of us is too bad that we cannot be saved. Our résumés – regardless of how robust or how limited – mean nothing to the free gift we have in Christ Jesus. We approach God’s grace with humility, not our worthiness. We rest in full assurance of an eternal life based on the Grace and Generosity of our Glorious Father in Heaven.
